What We Do

Traditionally, many African immigrant and refugee farmers are born into family farming businesses. They gain their experience through observation and hands-on experience from the time they’re children. Although these farmers don’t have a formal education, they can offer apprenticeships to teach the younger generation the skills needed to begin a career in farming. In partnership with other Community-Based Organizations (CBO), our Reunification Program provides opportunities for these farmers to provide practical, hands-on farming experience to the youth and exchange best farming practices with other farmers from the hosting community.
 

In addition, this program helps farmers gain experience, save money, and guide them in proper seeds selection and seeds growth education. They learn more about the local farming industry, as well as improve and enhance their farming skills. Our collective efforts also use methods to help save the environment from unnecessary pollution.
